So yeah my car's right hand speaker has long been blown.. so decided to take apart my car door! yay project!

Daang look at that crap... why is the inside of my door wrapped in plastic? lol

Ahh thats whats making it rattle like that.. look at the foam surrounds!! They are totally shot.. and plus after some more inspection the voice coil is outta alignment as well....

Another look at the damage

YAY shiny new replacement speaker purchased! ooooh ahhhh~

Hook up those speaker leads.. put foam insulation around the speaker to help deaden the vibrations as well as to help seal the enclosure airtight.

Start screwing in the speakers.. with help from my handy dandy star shaped screwdriver head.. yeah auto manufacturers are trying to crap you by using different screws so ppl won't steal their worthless speakers. Oh boy and the holes in the speaker baffle are for a 3 tab speaker.. not my 4 tab pioneer... solution....

Hello power tools! sweet drill! we are going to make some new holes!

Here's me drilling a new hole for the screw to go into..

Yayy! and putting in the screw! factory screw at that! boo yah!

Finished product!! No more rattling! plus its louder somehow.. good stuff.. polypropolene cone i believe.. either that or some kinda of composite.. the surrounds aren't even rubber either.. not sure what it is i think its some kinda composite cloth as well..
